PAVLOV’S DOG
Barrett Zinn’s debut CD “Pavlov’s Dog” hits stores in April, 2016. The CD released officially at THE BITTER END, MAY 16.
Filled with songs about finding love and meaning in the face of urban and global angst, “Pavlov’s Dog” is an album with a strong folk-rock pedigree. Many of its tunes hark back to the searching lyricism of such musical troubadours as Neil Young, James Taylor and Rickie Lee Jones. But today the edges are sharper, and life’s turns even harder to negotiate… that’s why it’s so important for Zinn to tap into that irreverent, underground mirth and laughter he grew up with in the ‘60s and ‘70s… he wants to make sure that amid the dark tidings we still have a light to shine and a place to go.
BARRETT ZINN & THE MONGRELS
Who let the dogs in? Since January, Barrett Zinn & The Mongrels have played a series of shows that have galvanized the group and their growing audience. They didn’t really expect it to gel like this, but that’s what’s happening. What they found in the studio this motley crew of supremely gifted New York rock musicians is now bringing to the stage…
As cagey, edgy and loveable a group of musical mutts as there ever was… The Mongrels
